"Music Rules"®

Our program development began with an analysis of  how we do what we do and how does this set us apart from other companies/methods.  We began at the fundamental link that we all share in common--our background in how music is constructed.

We have found that our problem solving method (for example) is based on the knowledge we share of the rules of musical composition.  We have all had at least 4 years of music theory where we learned those rules.

Most music (except for a brief period in the late 60's and early 70's) is based on these rules and there is a natural order of events that must occur.  When this order is disrupted we can quickly identify a potential problem and move toward a root cause analysis very quickly using several different tools.

Our statistical analysis come right out of the current quality measurement methods, using SPC, charts and graphs and established performance limit criteria.  The limits have been established using empirical data from our performances and we use this data to demonstrate the principals and teach the methods for successful implementation and understanding of the use of the various tools available.

Communications is one off the most critical aspects of the success of any group.  The others are Total Teamwork and employee empowerment.  The North American Brass Company models these successful behaviors in everything it does, whether in the Board room or on the "production floor".  We are successful because we follow the rules, we allow full interaction between associates, we have a common goal and we enjoy what we do and take pride in the finished product.

We all also make the group better by being part of the group and working toward the group's goals to succeed.
